BRANDING & STYLE

We make a lot of subconscious decisions in our daily life.  Imagine you are shoe shopping for a simple pair of black shoes. You’d think it would be an easy decision but chances are, you rule out about 65% of the options before you even start trying them on.

Each day, we are bombarded with millions and millions of stimuli. Our brains are compartmentalizing the smallest details into “likes” and dislikes”, compounding into our overall perception. This makes certain things more appealing than others, even if we can’t put a finger on why.

It’s an easy reflex for our brains to come back with the decision of “not my style”, “those aren’t right” without you having to weigh the pros and cons until you get to a close match to your existing preferences.  Which is lucky, because otherwise you’d never leave the store and have to walk around barefoot.

Ever judge a wine by its label or expect better quality from an item because it’s slightly more expensive?

This is why branding and style is so important. Your business is already speaking to potential customers without you ever saying a word. You can’t escape it. The particular font you use, the shade of blue in your logo, the verbiage when you speak all make a statement.  And no, even by not designating a particular brand style, you’re still speaking just as loudly, just not favorably.

The good news is you have complete control of your brand image. By creating a brand that truely reflects your business, you’ll be attracting the right people and gaining their trust. That means you get to focus on what you do best: runnng your business.

show me your style!

Truth be told, this is my absolute favorite part. Each brand has their own unique personality, and just like people, those personalities can change and evolve over time.  Let’s make sure your brand is on point, as the cool kids would say.

If you already have brand assets, awesome!  Let’s review them.  In this exercise, I will review your brand and complete my own assessment. Your voice, imagery, even font choice speak just as loudly as your shoes make the outfit.  While I’m doing this initial review, you are doing your own review of how you see (or want to see) your brand. Then we compare notes. Maybe your branding is spot on and you’re good to go for the next couple years. Maybe it’s time for a refresh. We’ll find out.

The most important thing is that you absolutely love and feel a connection to the image your business portrays. You’ve put your heart and soul into this work, it’s time for it to shine.

At the end of this exercise, we’ll work together to design your new and improved Style Sheet. This is the point of reference to ensure all your marketing stays on brand. It makes it suuuuuper simple for you to keep a consistent and true business image.
